1. LEGAL BINDING AND ELIGIBILITY

1.1 Acceptance of Agreement

By accessing, browsing, or registering at Cynyma.com (the "Platform"), you enter into a legally binding contract with Cynyma. This agreement governs your use of our movie database, community features, and authentication services.

1.2 Age Restrictive Access

Cynyma.com catalogues a wide array of global cinema, including content rated for mature audiences. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. Cynyma reserves the right to terminate accounts if it is discovered that a user is a minor operating without verified parental consent in accordance with Indian digital protection laws.

1.3 Jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Kerala and the Union of India. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be settled exclusively in the courts of Kochi, Kerala.

2. USER ACCOUNTS AND SECURE AUTHENTICATION

2.1 Identity and Registration

We provide multiple methods of entry, including traditional email/password, Social Login (Google, Facebook), and Single Sign-On (SSO). You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.

2.2 Advanced Security Protocols

  • Encryption: All passwords are stored using industry-standard salted hashing.
  • WebAuthn & 2FA: We strongly encourage the use of our Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and WebAuthn features (biometric/security keys). Cynyma is not liable for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to safeguard your device or session.
  • Account Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all activities occurring under your account. You must notify us immediately of any suspected security breach.

3. CONTENT SUBMISSION AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

3.1 Third-Party Data (TMDb)

Cynyma utilizes the TMDb API for core metadata. You acknowledge that:

  • This product uses the TMDb API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDb.
  • You must not use the metadata provided by TMDb in a way that violates their specific terms of use.

3.2 User-Generated Content (UGC) License

When you contribute reviews, ratings, celebrity information, movie lists, or images:

  • Ownership: You remain the owner of the copyright in your original content.
  • Grant of License: You grant Cynyma a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and sub-licensable license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, and publicly display such content. This allows us to show your reviews on movie pages and feature your "Top 10" lists in our marketing.
  • Voting Dynamics: By participating in list voting, you agree that your vote is final and contributes to the collective platform data.

3.3 Accuracy of Contributions

Users adding movie shows, episodes, or celebrity biographies must ensure the data is factual. Cynyma reserves the right to verify, edit, or merge duplicate entries in our database.

4. CONTENT MODERATION AND PROHIBITED CONDUCT

4.1 Strict Anti-AI Content Policy

Cynyma is a platform for human cinematic experience.

  • The Rule: The submission of reviews, biographies, or comments generated by Large Language Models (LLMs) or other Generative AI is strictly prohibited.
  • Detection & Removal: We use automated and manual tools to detect synthetic content. Cynyma reserves the right to remove such content immediately to preserve the authenticity of our community.

4.2 Community Standards

You are prohibited from posting content that:

  • Is defamatory, obscene, or promotes discrimination.
  • Infringes on the intellectual property of film studios, actors, or other creators.
  • Contains "Spam" or promotes external commercial services without authorization.

5. MONETIZATION, ADS, AND AFFILIATES

5.1 Advertising Disclosure

Cynyma uses third-party advertising partners, including Google Ads, to fund platform operations. Your interaction with these ads is governed by the privacy policies of the respective advertisers.

5.2 Watch Providers and Affiliates

We display "Watch Providers" (e.g., Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV etc.).

  • Affiliate Disclaimer: Some links may be affiliate links. If you click these and complete a purchase or subscription, Cynyma may receive a commission.
  • External Content: We do not host the streaming content itself and are not responsible for the availability or legality of content on external streaming platforms.

5.3 Future Subscriptions

Cynyma reserves the right to introduce "Pro" or "Premium" subscription tiers. Such tiers will be governed by additional Billing Terms provided at the time of launch.

6. TERMINATION AND REMEDIES

6.1 Zero-Tolerance Policy

Cynyma may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, for:

  • Technical Abuse: Attempting to scrape the database, injecting malicious code, or disrupting the "natural cause" and performance of the website.
  • Fraud: Engaging in fraudulent activities or manipulated rating schemes.
  • Illegal Acts: Using the platform to distribute pirated links or violating Indian Cyber Laws.

6.2 Data Retention Upon Termination

Upon termination, your public contributions (reviews/ratings) may remain on the platform in an anonymized format to maintain the integrity of the movie database, subject to local data protection regulations.

7. DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

7.1 "As-Is" Service

Cynyma is provided for informational and entertainment purposes. While we strive for database accuracy, we make no guarantees regarding the completeness or reliability of movie facts, release dates, or celebrity details.

7.2 Limitation of Damages

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cynyma and its founders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data or emotional distress related to platform content.
